1. Introduction

Top Stage Glam ("Top Stage Glam,"" we, "us, or "our") is a soft glam makeup artistry business owned and operated by ( Marie A. /Top Stage Glam), based in Crofton, Maryland, providing in-studio, on-location, and select nationwide travel makeup artistry services. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from clients, workshop participants, and website visitors; how we use and share it; and the choices you have. It applies to our website at [www.topstageglam.com], our booking and consultation process, our social media interactions, and our in-person and on-location services.

 

By booking a service, attending a workshop, submitting a form on our website, or otherwise providing information to us, you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

   • Contact details: name. email address, phone number, and mailing or service address (used to calculate travel zone fee).

   • Booking details: service date, service tier selected (Natural Glam, Soft Glam, Special Occasion, Premium, or Luxury Bridal by inquiry), event type, and event location for on-location bookings.

   • Payment information: deposit and payment records, including amounts and payment method (e.g., Zelle, card, or other processor). We do not store full financial account or card numbers ourselves; these are handled by the applicable payment platform.

   • Skin and health-related information you voluntarily share for service safety, such as allergies, sensitivities, or skin conditions relevant to product selection.

   • Consultation notes, style preferences, and reference images you provide to help plan your look.

   • Workshop information: registration details and any signed consent, waiver, or release forms for in-person         workshops.

   • Communications: messages, emails, texts, and voicemails you send us, and any information you include in them.

 

2.2 Photo and Video Content

As part of our services, we may photograph or record before-and-after images, application process video, and finished looks. See Section 4 (“Photo, Video & Portfolio Use”) for how this content is used and how you can opt out.

 

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

   • Website usage data such as pages visited, time on site, referring pages, and general device or browser information, collected through our website and any analytics tools we use.

   • Cookies and similar technologies used to operate the website, remember preferences, and understand site performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

2.4 Information From Third Parties

   • Booking and lead information from platforms such as Thumbtack, Yelp, or Instagram/Facebook, when you contact us or request a quote through those platforms.

   • Email delivery and automation data from our email service provider (currently Wix), used to send booking confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups.

 

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Schedule, confirm, and provide the services you request, including calculating travel fees and processing deposits.

• Communicate with you about your appointment, including confirmations, reminders, and post-service follow-up.

• Select appropriate products and techniques based on skin-related information you share with us.

• Process payments and maintain accurate business and bookkeeping records.

• Send marketing communications, promotions, or rebooking reminders, where you have not opted out.

• Maintain and improve our website, services, and client experience.

• Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

• Protect against fraud, no-shows, and misuse of our booking and deposit system.

 

4. Photo, Video & Portfolio Use

Unless you tell us otherwise, images and video captured during your appointment or a workshop may be used for Top Stage Glam’s portfolio, website, social media (including Instagram and TikTok), advertising, and other promotional materials.

• You may decline to be photographed or recorded, or request that specific images not be used, by telling your artist before or during your appointment, or by emailing us at glam@topstageglam.com.

• Workshop participants who sign a separate consent/waiver form are additionally bound by the terms of that form, which controls for workshop content.

• We do not sell photos or video of clients to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

• If you would like a previously published image removed, contact us and we will make a reasonable effort to remove it from channels within our control.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate the business, such as our website host, email automation platform (Wix), payment processing apps, and scheduling tools — solely to help us provide services to you.

• Lead and booking platforms (e.g., Thumbtack, Yelp) to the extent you contacted us through them, consistent with those platforms’ own privacy policies.

• Family team members who assist with defined operational roles in the business (such as scheduling, data entry, or content creation), who may access limited booking or content information as needed to perform their role.

• Professionals or vendors you ask us to coordinate with directly for your event (e.g., a wedding planner or photographer), where you request or authorize this.

• Legal or governmental authorities where required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Top Stage Glam or others.

• A successor business, in the event of a sale, transfer, or reorganization of Top Stage Glam.

 

6. Data Retention

We retain client and booking information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Skin-sensitivity and consultation notes are retained to support safe service delivery on future bookings unless you ask us to delete them. You may request deletion of your information at any time, subject to Section 7.

7. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at glam@topstageglam.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

• Marketing opt-out: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link; you may also text or email us directly to opt out.

• Photo/video opt-out: see Section 4.

• Access or deletion requests: we will provide or delete the personal information we hold about you upon verified request, except where we are required or permitted to retain it (e.g., financial records for tax purposes).

 

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our website. Workshop attendance or services for a minor requires the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for any information provided on the minor’s behalf.

9. Cookies & Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar tools to remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and improve performance. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; doing so may affect certain website features. We do not use cookies to sell your information.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the personal information we hold, including limiting access to booking, payment, and client information to those who need it to perform their role. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

11. Deposits/Retainer Fee, Cancellations & No-Shows

Booking requires a 30% deposit/retainer fee. Information related to deposits/retainer fee, cancellations, late arrivals, and no-shows (including for free consultations, which are tracked but not fee-charged) is retained to enforce our booking policies and maintain fair scheduling for all clients.

12. Out-of-State & Travel Services

For weddings, brand campaigns, or other services performed outside Maryland, the same data practices described in this Policy apply, in addition to any disclosures required by the state in which services are performed.

 

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on our website; continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
